Eric has over 13 years of experience as a professional wrestler.
Prior to becoming a regular in SCW, Eric was a regular in the Jerry Jarrett/Jerry Lawler Company in the USWA. He has also wrestled in Ohio Valley Wrestling and ECW.
Eric has personally trained many wrestlers who perform all over the country.
We are excited and pleased to have Eric as our trainer here at Supreme Championship Wrestling.
If you are interested in training to become a professional wrestler, you must agree to the terms and conditions listed below before you continue.
Terms and Conditions
You must be at least 17 years old, with parental permission to train.
A physical is not yet required, however you must realize that your body will experience a lot of hard work and pain. You must be aware of your body's restrictions and voice them before you ever start training.
No wrestling gear is supplied. You should purchase a pair of knee pads to wrestle in.
Your attire for class is recommended to be sweat pants, windbreaker pants, jogging pants, cotton pants etc... these types of pants will not restrict your leg movement as many jeans material pants will. Or shorts, basketball shorts, tennis shorts, jogging shorts all work great as they, unlike bermuda shorts, (shorts that go down to the middle of your calves) will not restrict your leg movement.
The more snug your shirt (not tight) the better as big baggy shirts tend to ride up and can cover your eyes, get tangled in your or your opponent's arms, or even wrap around your neck. However shirts that are TOO restrictive (tight) will disable arm/shoulder movement making it hard to pull off some of the moves. Tank-tops and snug sweatshirts are also acceptable.
It is a personal option to wear elbow pads and wrestling boots during training. Combat boots and tennis shoes are common foot attire for training, so whatever you are comfortable in, as long as they won't tear the apron, is acceptable. Elbow pads range from soft, flexible foam to separated hard plastic, either one is fine if you so choose to wear them. Comfort is #1 priority.
Once you become trained you will need to purchase some form of acceptable wrestling boot and ring gear to participate on shows.
If you choose not to wear knee or elbow pads it is your own responsibility if you get hurt. You will sign a waiver and assumption of risk when you sign your training contract, and before your tryout begins.
Once you begin training, backyard wrestling is strictly prohibited. If you are caught in the act of backyard wrestling, or wrestling outside of the training facility (even for other professional indy promotions) before your training is complete you will be removed from class and we will cancel your contract, however we are still entitled to our full training fee from you. The only exception to this are our own shows or with permission from your trainers.
After your training is complete you belong, as a wrestler, to Supreme Championship Wrestling for 32 weeks {6 months}. You will still not be allowed to participate in "backyard wrestling" and still must get permission from your trainers to wrestle for other federations. After such time is up you become a free and independent wrestler and are encouraged to wrestle for any federation that will have you. You will then no longer be required to wrestle solely for Supreme Championship Wrestling, and we retain the right to refuse your placement on any of our show cards.
As a student, you are expected to maintain a professional attitude whether you're in a professional environment or not, but especially when you are in a professional or wrestling environment. You are expected to maintain proper locker room etiquette (which you will learn) when you are in the arena, at shows, and/or around other wrestlers or fans. You only get disrespected when you disrespect others. You represent Supreme Championship Wrestling, when you make us look bad you make yourself look bad and vice versa. If you purposely make us look bad by either making yourself look bad or by starting problems with other federations we will cancel your contract and still be entitled to our full training fee from you. Examples and more on that can be discussed with you personally.
As a student you are expected to call as SOON as you know you will not make it to class that week. No call/no shows are noted and on your fifth (5) no call/no show, we will cancel your contract, however we are still entitled to our full training fee from you. If you intend after that to continue training you must start your payment over, sign a new contract and will be expected to pay the full training fee amount.
You must pay your complete weekly payment fee whether you attend class or not.
You must also pay your complete training fee whether you complete your training or not.
Your trainer guarantees you will get the best training he can give you. With a hand from some occasional special guest trainers, you will be presented with a wide variety of wrestling styles and techniques. Eric Draven will always give 110% and push you to do your best and beyond. He will be at every class whether you are there or not. He will train you to the best of your ability. He will train you for the full term you sign on for, and he will be as understanding as possible to particular situations.
At this time we do not provide jobs or housing. We can make suggestions on housing, however moving to Madison, IN to train is your own risk.
All fees are non-refundable.
